Newest internet sensation, and ‘Face of Gh Rap,’ AY Poyoo, has revealed that rapping and joking around was not the future his mom envisaged for him.
According to him, his mom wanted him to be a doctor.
“When I started, my mother wanted me to be a doctor. She wasn’t interested in what I was doing. She wasn’t in agreement that I chose to fool instead of being a doctor,” he said in an interview with GhanaWeb.
He however added that his looks could not fit into the medical profession.
“…and I realised when you’re ugly you can’t be a doctor.
When asked by the interviewer if he sees himself as an ‘ugly’ person, he responded;
“In stand-up comedy I do deliver jokes with ugliness, out of ugliness so I know myself, I have mirror.
How will you fell when you go unconscious and they admit you to a hospital and they call a doctor and it’s me, you will die again,” he added.
