I am here with you to the glory of the lord. I opened up to Ohemaa Mercy about my problems. I told her how I’m seriously suffering. She asked me to wait on God. Don’t put your trust in mankind. Just rely on God” she added.

‘The Money Stone’, a documentary about child labour in galamsey to make its Africa premiere at Black Star international Film Festival, Accra

“The Money Stone” tells the stories of Justice and Maxwell, two teen boys fighting for their dreams among the deadly gold mines of Ghana. The film will make its Africa premiere at the Black Star International Film Festival with screenings on August 22 at 8:00 PM and August 24 at 2:00 PM at the Silverbird Cinema in the Accra Mall.

In total, twenty-seven (27) films were selected into competition in seven categories namely; Documentary, Short Film, Feature Film, Women in Film, Student Film, Africa Rising and Animation. The awards ceremony will take place from 24 to 25 November 2019, at the “Swiss Spirit Hotel and Suites Alisa Accra”, in Ghana and their stay will include a leadership program where laureates who will meet high-level personalities. On the occasion of the ceremony, a super award of the Young African Personality of the Year will be chosen among the 35 laureates and will receive a cash prize.
