Selorm Adadevoh, CEO of MTN Ghana, expressed his excitement about the completion of this project during the inauguration and reiterated MTN’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery nationwide. Selorm noted that although access to quality medical services is a fundamental right, it is out of reach for many in our communities.  Motivated by the unfortunate instances of lives lost due to inadequate medical facilities, the MTN Ghana Foundation undertook the project to make a tangible impact on the lives of people in the Volta Region, particularly women, and children in Keta and the surrounding areas.

“When I was president, if things were not going well, I told the people of Ghana things are not going well and this is what we are trying to do about it. I think my honesty was one of my major problems because I didn’t think I should fool my people. Today every day you sleep and the lights go off and we know that they are shedding load. They have a problem with generation. Some generation assets are down. They have a problem with paying for gas.

The survey, which delves into various aspects including the prevalence of HIV/AIDS-related behaviors, STDs, health insurance, and health coverage, also indicates that 95% of Ghanaian men aged 15-49 have undergone circumcision, with much of this attributed to religious, traditional, and cultural reasons.
