The Black Meteors advanced to the next phase of qualifiers for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations after beating Mozambique on Sunday, October 30.
The game which took place at the Baba Yara Stadium saw Sylvester Simba and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh score for Ibrahim Tanko’s side, taking home a 4– aggregate victory.
Ghana should have taken the lead minutes into the game but Hafiz Adams’ effort was saved by the Mozambique goalkeeper.
However, they were no stopping Simba’s excellent strike as it found the back of the net to give Ghana a deserving lead.
Barnieh came to the party in the 54th minute of Ghana to score his third goal against Mozambique having scored twice in the earlier encounter last week.
The Hearts of Oak forward converted from the penalty spot once again after Simba was fouled in the 18-yard box.
