Musician Yaw Berk has asked producer Kaywa to forgive him after he said he was not managed well when he was signed under the Highly Spiritual Music record label.
In an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Yaw Berk had alleged that he was influenced by two big industry persons to make those statements.
According to him, he had been promised a bigger future and career in music if he turned his back on Kaywa and/or destroys his image.
“They were all false and staged in their interest. It dented my image and his, Ghanaians should help me apologize because I have done more harm than good.”
“I really take my words back. It was two people. One big producer and one big industry man who masterminded this whole issue of me saying dirty stuff to my godfather. And if he can put me on again, I will be very proud,” Yaw Berk said.
In 2019, after the singer left Highly Spiritual Music he made many allegations against Kaywa.
He claimed that Kaywa failed to manage him well adding that only two of his songs were released in the two years he was with the label.
Among other things, he also claimed that the studios they used for recordings were infested with bed bugs.
Yaw Berk, however, later apologized for the bed bugs statement.
The artiste said on Daybreak Hitz, on Tuesday that it has not been easy getting in touch with Kaywa after the fallout.
“The same way I spoke badly about him, I want to use the same medium… I want him to even hear it on air before we even approach him, he said.
But Kaywa, speaking on the same show, said he has forgiven Yaw Berk but made it clear that it will be difficult for them to get back to working together.
“What we are failing to understand is that it’s not about bringing the person back to me… I have to forgive him… I am forgetting what I have gone through to give that position to someone who would want to occupy it.
Working with him would depend on whether I still want to do that. I am not sure about working with him and I think I should be respected in that area so we can move on from there,” Kaywa said.
