Musicians Union briefs Tourism Minister on funeral rites for Dada KD, Daddy Lumba

The funeral for Dada KD would take place on September 20, 2025, at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra, the family said.
“The body will then be transported to Agona Asamang in the Ashanti Region on September 21 for burial,” they said.
The change in the original schedule was necessitated by the ongoing funeral observances for the Asantehemaa.

Eight Ghanaians lost their lives in the crash on 6th August 2025. The deceased include Defence Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed. Others were NDC Vice Chairman and former Kumasi mayor, Dr Samuel Sarpong, Deputy National Security Coordinator Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, and former NDC parliamentary candidate for Obuasi East, Mr Samuel Aboagye, Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah, all members of the Ghana Armed Forces.
