Today, Ghana’s rising superstar King Promise releases the visual to his latest track ‘Alright’ featuring fellow heavyweight musician and West Africa’s Dancehall King Shatta Wale. Maintaining his ongoing buzz and amazing run of hits, which follows on from his previous releases ‘Sisa’ and ‘Baby I’m Jealous’ with Mr Eazi – King Promise returns to end 2020 on a high, by gifting fans with this elevating track, which is certain to send listeners crazy.

With ‘Alright’King Promise does not fail to deliver. Singing over a smooth Altranova produced instrumental; the Ghanaian singer merges his amazing vocal ability and melodic flow with Shatta’s trademark and bouncy rap ability – culminating in a track which undoubtably will make listeners want to rejoice.

“I’ve always wanted to collab with Shatta. It always came down to finding the right song for us and when I made “Alright”, he was the first person who come to mind. With this acquisition, 5K have shown a massive statement of intent by snapping up Ghana’s most exciting artist and making him their first global signing, who they intend to help break across international shores. King Promise will most definitely be looking to establish himself as a household name universally for 2021, just as he has for West Africa! About King Promise

Born on 16th August by the name Gregory Promise Bortey Newman, his stage name “King Promise” derived from his birth name. King Promises’ dad played a huge role in his affection for music. As he grew up listening to his dad play all genres of music. The singer, songwriter, and performer knew as Boy Pee has made his mark in the music industry with songs such as ‘So Special’ and ‘No Problem. In 2016 he released his much-anticipated single ‘Thank God’ which featured Fuse ODG and produced by Killbeatz. 

The budding talent considers himself a versatile artist, who falls in the Afrobeats, HighLife, R&B, and Hip-Hop genres. He is gradually building a brand allowing him to have longevity in this industry, in turn certifying Ghanaians to be conversant with his style of music.

King Promise, an Accra based artiste who was born in Nungua, has had the opportunity to work with a couple of great talents such as Scientific, J-Town, Adina, Pappy Kojo, Fuse ODG, and many more. His feature on Dj Vision’s record entitled “Double Trouble” alongside Sarkodie was a smash hit. It topped the radio charts for weeks being considered as a “banger” by many Djs and industry professionals alike. 

King Promise is currently signed to the legendary producer Killbeatz’s record label as well as 5K Records (based in the UK).
