Ghanaian lower-tier side New Edubiase United has signed popular Ghanaian Actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin on a two-year contract.
The club unveiled six new players on Friday in a ceremony ahead of the start of the 2021-22 season with the popular actor among the players.
According to sources, the Kumawood Actor is going be to club ambassador and also a player of the team for the next two seasons.
Although the actual amount was not revealed too, reports say that the Ghanaian comedian could be the highest-paid Ghanaian footballer in the league.
“It’s time to play football. I have signed two seasons for New Edubiase United”, he told Happy FM.
“I currently play in the Number 7 position or any position in the midfield. The coach is the one who requested me. The CEO wants me as the ambassador and the Coach also wants me to play. I can play the first 45 minutes and with time I can play the full 90 minutes.
”As long as I play for New Edubiase United no team will beat us”, he added.
New Edubiase United also announced the signing of former Hearts of Oak midfielder Malik Akowuah, Stephen Akurugu.

Kwadwo Nkansah (born 15 April 1987) professionally known as Lil Win, is a Ghanaian actor, cum musician, and comedian now adding up a new career as a professional footballer. Kwadwo Nkansah was born to Madam Adwoa Afrah and Mr. Kwadwo Boadi Nkansah. He is the founder and director of Great Minds International School in Kumasi, Ashanti Region of Ghana among others.
