The Religious Affairs Minister, Kofi Dzamesi has addressed a press conference to outline the directives and protocols that will govern the reopening of churches and mosques.
President Akufo-Addo lifted the ban on religious activities in his 10th address to the nation on the Covid-19 outbreak in Ghana.
In his address the President on Sunday said religious activites can comment with a maximum of 100 congregants present in a church or mosque at a time with a mandatory one metre rule of social distancing.
“In addition to the mandatory wearing of masks for all persons at all times in churches and mosques, a register of names and contact details of all worshippers and hand washing facilities and sanitisers must be provided, with a maximum duration of one hour for each service,” President Akufo-Addo added.
