Aside from being an astute military man, the late former President Jerry John Rawlings had a soft side, one that included his love for music.
As a fan of both local and international music, Mr Rawlings never hesitated to throw a beam on artistic works that project Ghanaian culture.
The founder of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) was last seen in public on October 19, during the final funeral rites leading to the burial of his mother, Victoria Agbotui.

Earlier in the morning, former President Rawlings and his delegation paid a courtesy call on Nenyi Ghartey VII, President of the Effutu Traditional Council, before proceeding to the durbar grounds where a parade and wreath-laying ceremony was held ahead of the durbar which was also addressed by NDC flagbearer former President John Dramani Mahama, NDC General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia and a host of cadres and leading members of the NDC.
