The Dumelo family has announced that they will bid their final farewell to their beloved matriarch, Antoinette Ama Ampomah Dumelo, during an upcoming funeral on October 7, 2023.
Antoinette Ama Ampomah Dumelo, a retired customs officer and the beloved mother of Ghanaian actor and politician John Dumelo and his sisters, peacefully passed away earlier this August. She was 71 years old.
The news was shared during a heartfelt one-week memorial service held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Adabakra.
The service brought together family, friends, and well-wishers who had been touched by the life and legacy of Antoinette Ama Ampomah Dumelo.
In a touching post on his official Facebook page, John Dumelo poured his heart out and expressed the immense void her departure had left within him.
He wrote, “My heart is broken. My dear mother passed away peacefully yesterday… my number one supporter. Heaven has gained an angel.”
Antoinette Ama Ampomah Dumelo’s journey through life was characterized by an unwavering dedication and commitment, which resonated not only in her distinguished professional career but also in her nurturing role as a mother.
