Sarkodie named ‘Year of Return’ ambassador

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has been named as brand ambassador for the ‘Year of Return’.

The announcement was made at the Creative Arts Industry forum organized by the Ministry of Tourism at the National Theatre in Accra.

The ‘Saara’ hitmaker was honoured with a citation for his achievements and immense contribution to Ghana’s creative art industry.

The rapper after being unveiled as ‘Year of Return’ Ambassador, promised to support the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

Last month, Sarkodie used his acceptance speech at the BET hip hop awards to urge African Americans to come to Ghana for ‘Year of Return’.

“I just want to say thank you to the Almighty God. To family, this one is for my lil girl Titi…. I think Africa has always had it and it is about that time. This year is the Year of Return and I will urge each and every one of you here to take a trip back home.” Sarkodie said.
