Evangelist Patricia/Josephine Asiamah, popularly known as Mama Pat, has officially retracted allegations she made earlier this year against gospel musician Empress Gifty Adorye.

The apology and retraction were issued through her lawyers, Agyaa Asamani Law Consult, in a statement dated December 4, 2025.

According to the law firm, the comments made by Mama Pat in May 2025 were reactions to a statement purportedly made by Mr. Hopeson Adorye, which she believed targeted her personality. The statement explains that Mama Pat’s posts were made “in the spur of the moment,” but unfortunately were interpreted as imputing immorality and unchastity to Empress Gifty.

Her lawyers clarified that the allegations were “false and completely without merit,” stressing that their client “retracts every statement made therein.”

The statement further conveys Mama Pat’s “unqualified and sincere apology” to Empress Gifty Adorye Oppong for the harm the publications may have caused to her personal and professional reputation, character, and well-being.

The apology is also extended to Empress Gifty’s family, friends, and colleagues for any distress resulting from the earlier statements.

The retraction was signed by Richard Asare Baffour, Esq., counsel for Evangelist Patricia Asiedua.
